Longer, healthier lives for every Dachshund.

DachsCheck exists because 1 in 4 Dachshunds will develop Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) — and because early detection changes outcomes.

Why we built it

Most owners don't know what a healthy Dachshund topline looks like, or which body-condition changes matter. Vets see our dogs twice a year at best. We wanted something an owner could reach for in the moment — free, fast, and easy to understand.

How the AI works (plain language)

You give us a photo (and optionally a video). We send it to a large vision model with a detailed rubric for Dachshund conformation, body condition and gait — the same kinds of things a knowledgeable owner or vet nurse would look for. The model returns structured findings, which we render as a friendly report with clear next steps.

The AI is a screening aid, not a diagnostic device. It's designed to help you notice things sooner and to make your next vet conversation a better one.

Vet advisory

DachsCheck is developed with input from small-animal veterinary professionals. Any concerns flagged in your report should be confirmed with your own vet — nothing here replaces hands-on examination, imaging, or clinical judgement.
